PROJECT
Sustainable Restaurants Guide
Spring 2015 | SD-6600 | MCAD
Innovation Tools & Techniques
For most of the semester, each student worked on a project to explore design thinking and integrate practices learned throughout this course. We were tasked with developing an end product, design, process, or system, based on a client and their determined need or something of interest to us. My project identified a gap in the Twin Cities food world, which was a detailed guide to sustainable restaurants in the area. I created a website, the Kind Diner Report, and developed a research and grading process for determining the sustainability of local establishments. I designed and created the logo, including variations for social media purposes. I also created a one-sheet of sustainability resources and tips to leave with restaurants during meetings. The site is not fully developed with restaurant content, but the pages have been built out and prepared for any would-be content.
